Are You Willing To Step On A Scale Before You Step On An Airplane?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Airline passengers may soon have to reveal their weight before boarding planes. That’s according to a new airline blog called View From The Wing, which cites the FAA’s circular advisory from May 9, 2019. It states that getting the weight of passengers and crew will help with the weight distribution of the plane, and says the idea was sparked because of the increase in weight of the average American.

The FAA advisory added that the surveying would be random and voluntary, and passengers would be able to refuse.

Our question of the night: how would you feel if an airline required your weight to get on a plane?
