Tim Tebow Is Back In The NFL: Does He Deserve The Chance?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It’s a reunion for Tebow and Coach Urban Meyer. Together, they led the University of Florida to two national championships. Tebow hasn’t been on an NFL roster since 2015 after calling it quits to pursue a broadcasting career. Then he spent some time playing professional baseball. The 33-year-old says he knows transitioning back will be a challenge, but he is ready to embrace it.

Social media sounded off on the Jaguars’ Twitter announcement.

One user wrote, “Why are we signing him when there are players who have played tight end their whole lives not being given a chance?”
“Will give this dude a job but not Kaepernick.”
“Nothing more than a business decision. A lot of Jags fans are Gator fans and still idolize him. Even if he doesn’t play a game, he’ll get people to come and buy jerseys.”

Our question of the night: is Tim Tebow being shown favoritism?
