IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A Mooresville man is facing over 20 charges after an investigation into a report concerning someone being in possession of child porn, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office received the report in April 2021 and initiated an investigation into the allegations. Deputies were about to conduct interviews with people connected with the case and was able to execute several search warrants on various internet providers along with other social media outlets.
As a result of this investigation, 33-year-old Isaiah David Musto was identified as the suspect in this case, according to deputies. Musto is a convicted sex offender that was found guilty of felony soliciting a child by computer in 2020.
Deputies say following the investigation, Musto was charged with felony third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 20 felony counts of sex offender failing to register online identifier. Musto was arrested on Monday and takien to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was served with the 21 felony charges.
The case is still on-going as additional results are waiting, pending search warrants results still outstanding.
