Hot Temperatures Dominate the Week
Our next weather system arrives on Friday which will bring a weekend cool down
– Air Quality Alert in place for some on Tuesday – A Code Orange is in effect which indicates that ground level ozone
concentrations are expected to be unhealthy for sensitive groups.
– Due to an increased fire risk, the N.C. Forest Service has issued a burn ban in effect until further notice for Anson county and points east across eastern NC.
Heatwave continues this week as high temperatures top out in the low to mid 90s. Isolated showers/storms are possible, but do not expect much in the way of rainfall this week. A front arrives on Friday which will increase the rain coverage from isolated to widely scattered and drop temperatures back to average through the holiday weekend.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low: 68. Wind: E/NE 5.
Tuesday: More clouds. Isolated shower/storm. High: 91. Wind: E/NE 5-10.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High: 93. Wind: W/SW 5-10.
Have a great week!
