Free Summer Concert Series Returns To Blakeney Shopping Center
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Enjoy live music for free every Saturday from June through Labor Day as the Blakeney Shopping Center brings back its summer concert series.
Officials with the shopping center say the family-friendly concerts will take place every Saturday beginning June 5th through September 4th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Concertgoers can expect to see popular, local musicians including Time Cook Band, SOULWATT, The Inlaws Band, and Holly Hopkins Jazz in this year’s lineup.
Officials say there will also be opportunities to give back, with a few performances featuring a non-profit partnership.
Volunteers with Loaves and Fishes will be on-site to collect canned and boxed food on June 5th and June 19th, and volunteers with Classroom Central will be on-site to collect school supplies the following month on August 21st and 28th, officials say.
Event officials say while masks are not required outdoors, they ask music fans to be respectful and to socially distance themselves appropriately during the concerts.
Lawn chairs, blankets, and well-behaved leashed dogs are invited to attend, but officials remind concertgoers that outside alcohol, coolers, and glass containers are prohibited.
