Hot End to the Week
Another mild start with isolated showers around the Charlotte metro area. These will dissipate by daybreak. Patchy fog aross the mountains and foothills will also burn off shortly after sunrise. Mostly sunny skies today. Highs will reach the low 90s. Isolated to widely scattered showers and storms will be possible north of I-85 later this afternoon into the evening. High pressure will continue to erode allowing for better afternoon shower and storm chances through the week. Temps will remain well above average with highs in the 90s through Friday.
Memorial Day Weekend Cooldown
A cold front Friday night into Saturday will bring on better rain chances and even a few thunderstorms through Saturday afternoon. Rain chances will clear by Sunday. Temps will fall from the mid 80s Saturday to well below average Sunday wiith highs barely breaking into the low 70s. Memorial Day Monday will be dry and sunny with highs reaching the upper 70s. Seasonable highs return to the forecast Tuesday.
