Catawba County Community Invited To Summertime Lunch-And-Learns

NEWTON, N.C. — The Catawba County Library’s mobile branch is partnering with The Corner Table Soup Kitchen to provide free weekly lunch-and-learn sessions this summer.

Library officials say everyone is welcome to attend these sessions held at Herman Sipe Road in Conover, near Oak Grove Mobile Home Park, to check out books and educational resources while enjoying a free, healthy meal on-site.

Officials say these lunch-and-learn sessions will take place every Wednesday, starting June 2nd through mid-August, and lunch will be served between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Students in attendance can also enjoy the added perk of STEM activity boxes to explore and take home with them. Officials say these boxes will be filled with a variety of fun activities to build interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.
