Teachers Needed To Staff Camp CMS This Summer

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools say they are searching for qualified teachers to staff Camp CMS this summer.

Applicants must be licensed to teach in North Carolina for the subject areas they apply for, and officials say bonus offers include $1,200 for three weeks and $2,500 for six weeks, in addition to the teacher’s state salary for hours worked.

Held from June 14th to July 29th (with a one-week break from July 5th through July 9th), officials say Camp CMS is a free, full-day summer experience for K through 12th grade students with in-person learning opportunities Mondays through Thursdays.

The camp will serve students who need additional support in reading, math, and science, as well as students learning English and students with disabilities.
