Beautiful Memorial Day, Wetter Start to June
Some much-needed rain arrives by the back half of the week ahead.
Unseasonably cool continental air has settled in over the Carolinas this Sunday, bringing plentiful sunshine and temperatures 10-15º below average. While highs should recover to near-normal values for Memorial Day, rain chances will still remain in the slim-to-none range through midweek. Enjoy the drier times while they last, because a few rounds of much-needed rain slide into the WCCB Charlotte viewing area for the back half of the week. Scattered showers and storms should arrive by Wednesday night into Thursday morning. While no single day ahead looks like a wash, upwards of 1-2″ of rain may fall through next Sunday. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s for much of the first week of June.
