Chancellor Lee Adams, son of Rae Carruth, Graduates High School
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A full circle moment on Saturday night for Chancellor Adams.
The son of former Carolina Panthers player Rae Carruth overcame the obstacles of the past and is now a high school graduate.
Carruth was convicted of hiring a hitman to kill his pregnant girlfriend in 1999.
Cherica Adams died after being shot four times.
Their baby, Chancellor, survived but was left permanently disabled.
Despite the challenges, he earned his diploma from Vance High School at 21 years old.
