CMPD: Detectives Investigate A Fatal South Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in south Charlotte.

Officers say they responded around 12:30 a.m. on June 6th to call for service on Ellington Street.

At the scene, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound dead.

Detectives have identified the victim in this case as 42-year-old Darius Drummer.

The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
