Tropical Air Mass Dominates the Carolinas
Hot and humid days ahead with the chance for showers and storms.
With a big Bermuda high pressure anchored in the Atlantic and an area of low pressure to our west, the week ahead will be hot and humid with scattered showers and storms. A very typical summer pattern. If you get caught under one of these storms, you could get 2+” of rain while other neighborhoods get missed. Severe weather is not expected, but still a good idea to stay weather aware in a pattern like this. Heavy downpours that lead to localized flooding and frequent lightning will be the primary threat during the afternoon and evening hours through the week.
Tonight: Few showers and storms. Mostly cloudy skies. Low: 71. Wind: S/SW 5-10.
Wednesday: Scattered showers and storms. High: 90. Wind: SW 5-10.
Thursday: Same song, same dance! Scattered showers and storms. High: 90. Wind: SW 5-10.
Have a wonderful week!
