CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wilson learned more about the Save Siloam School Project and the new Siloam School exhibit that’s opening on Saturday at the Charlotte Museum of History as part of the African American Heritage Festival.
There will be two live streamed events to kick off the festival today, Charlotte Ballet dance demo and Rosenwald School history panel with Dr. Tom Hanchett. Everything is free, pre-registration is required for the live event Saturday, and tickets are limited to support social distancing. Find out more about all the events and exhibits at CharlotteMuseum.org.
Saturday is “An Afternoon on the Grounds” featuring live portrait painting of famous Black Charlotteans, a historical performance by Dontavius Williams at the 1774 Rock House, drumming with Drums4Life and the premiere of the new exhibit about the historic Siloam School, which the museum is working to save and preserve.
