Hot & Humid with Scattered Showers
Rinse and repeat with a tropical air mass in control.
With a big Bermuda high pressure anchored in the Atlantic and an area of low pressure to our west, scattered showers and storms continue to be the story through the remainder of the week. Isolated flash flooding is possible each day this week especially in neighborhoods that have already picked up 2”+ the past couple of days. If you get caught under one of these storms, you could get 2”+ of rain while other neighborhoods get missed. Heavy downpours and frequent lightning will be the primary threat during the afternoon and evening hours through the week. Storm Prediction Center does not have the WCCB area highlighted for severe weather over the next 3 days, but during a pattern like this it is always good to stay weather aware as some storms could produce damaging winds. We will see rain coverage decrease through the weekend and into next week.
Tonight: Few showers and storms. Mostly cloudy skies. Low: 72. Wind: S/SW 5-10.
Thursday: Same song, same dance! Scattered showers and storms. High: 88. Wind: SW 5-10.
Have a wonderful week!
