Tasty Tuesday: Lemonade Dole Whips
Heading into summer with a fresh, frozen treat
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It’s heating up outside so we’re keepin’ it cool in the Rising kitchen. Derek James and Lauren McDonald are blending the trending Lemonade Dole Whips, a twist on the famous Disney Dole Whips.
And if you’ve caught a Tasty Tuesday before, you know we either nail it or fail it.
Here’s the Lemonade Dole Whip recipe we’re following, but Derek and Lauren thinking adding ice cream makes it taste more like the real deal. (There’s not a lot we don’t recommend adding ice cream to, though):
Lemonade Dole Whip
- 1 c. frozen pineapple
- 1 c. lemonade
- ½ c. coconut milk
- Pineapple wedges, for garnish
- Maraschino cherries, for garnish
- Blend frozen pineapple, lemonade, and coconut milk in a blender.
- Pour into glasses and garnish each with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.
