Setting up for another steamy day with rain and storm chances back in the forecast. Slow-moving storms will be likely with torrential downpours leading to localized flash flooding threat. The mountains will be under a flash flood watch until midnight Saturday. Drought has improved slightly due to this week’s rain, however, areas east of I-77 are still under moderate drought conditions.
Rain chances will stretch into Saturday with a cold front that will slowly dip into the area. Winds will transition out of the northeast bringing slightly cooler and drier air into the region. Isolated storm chance Sunday with sunny skies returning to the forecast next week.
Heating Up Early Next Week
Highs will reach the low 90s Monday and Tuesday. A cold front will bring seasonable highs back in focus Wednesday.
