Knights Cancel Nonprofit Event At Truist Field Over Inclement Weather Concerns

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Field of Hope and Knight of Dreams nonprofit event on Saturday at Truist field has been cancelled over inclement weather concerns.

The event, benefiting Home Again Foundation, was expected to take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Uptown Charlotte on June 12th with interactive games, inflatables on the field, and a concert to finish out the night.

Officials with the Home Again Foundation say they will be setting up a virtual fundraiser instead, to raise money for those experiencing homelessness in the community.

Home Again Foundation officials will also start to plan a fall event in Uptown Charlotte for World Homelessness Day on October 10th, where they will bring together all the local homelessness nonprofits to raise awareness and collect donations.

Home Again Foundation officials say their goal is to provide affordable housing for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.
