Isolated storms in the mountains tonight, otherwise a warm evening with lows dropping into the upper 60s. A cold front wil bring scattered showers and storms Monday afternoon. Highs will reach the low 90s ahead of this front. Drier the rest of the week with less humidity. Highs will reach the mid 80s Wednesday with overnight lows falling into the low 60s. Rain and storm chances will taper off until the weekend with a more unsettled pattern setting back up across the region.
Two areas to watch now in the Atlantic. The system in the Bay of Campeche has become more organized over the last 24 hours and has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression by mid-wee. Regardless of development, this system will bring heavy rain to Central America and Southern Mexico over the next few days. A second area off the coast of Wilmington, NC is producing disorganized showers and storms. This has a low chance of development over the next 5 days as it moves northeast into cooler waters by the end of the week.
