Edge On The Clock: Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball Named NBA’s Rookie Of The Year
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball is the NBA’s Rookie of the Year. Ball won the award despite playing in only 51 games due to injury. That is the fourth-fewest games played in the award’s history, due to COVID-19.
The league has also announced its All-Defensive and all-NBA teams, with only the All-Rookie teams left to be unveiled.
Plus, a gesture from a star soccer player may have cost Coca-Cola billions of dollars. Shares of Coke dipped after Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance during a press conference Monday. Ronaldo removed two Coke bottles out of view and instead picked up a bottle of water, and then told the audience to drink water.
And, pitchers in Major League Baseball will be ejected and suspended for 10 games if they are found to be using illegal foreign substances to add a better grip to baseballs.
