Increasing Temperatures and Humidity
Summer-like heat returns to close out the work week
It has been a picture perfect June day across the Carolinas with low humidity dominating the region. The stunning air mass is unfortunately short-lived as humidity and temperatures rise over the next couple of days. Expect another nice overnight tonight with clear skies and low temperatures in the low 60s. Sunshine will dominate Friday and Saturday, but the heat is back on as high temperatures top out near 90Β° on Friday and mid 90s Saturday. Humidity levels rise over the next couple of days ahead of increasing tropical moisture. There is still a lot of uncertaintyΒ regarding timing of rain and how much rain the WCCB area can expect late weekend into next week as Invest 92L is just beginning to form and get organized. As of Thursday afternoon, showers and storms look to increase through the day on Sunday into Monday. Rain totals could be anywhere from 1-3”, but again, it all depends on the track of this tropical system. Once more development and organization occurs, the better idea we will have on timing, totals and storm threat for the Carolinas.
Tonight: Clear skies. Low: 62. Wind: Light.
Friday: Sunny skies. High: 92. Wind: SW 5-10.
Have a great end to the week and stay cool!
