Family Of Missing Gastonia Woman Holds Balloon Release Bringing Awareness To 20-Year Disappearance

GASTONIA, N.C. — The family of a missing Gastonia woman will hold a balloon release on June 20th to bring awareness to her 20-year disappearance.

Gastonia Police say they are still asking for the public’s help finding 52-year-old Lillian Nance, who went missing back in 2001.

Authorities say Nance was last seen on Sunshine Avenue in Gastonia, N.C. on June 20th, 2001. She is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 4 inches, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Nance’s family will hold the balloon release at 1 p.m. on Sunday on Sunshine Avenue.
