Police: 64-Year-Old Woman Walking In Downtown Davidson Dies After Car Hits Her

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Police say they are investigating a pedestrian fatality after a 64-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car while walking in downtown Davidson Thursday afternoon.

Police say Suzanne Younts, 64, was walking on Main Street, when she was struck by a car around 1 p.m. on June 17th near the intersections of Chairman Blake and South Streets, and died as a result of her injuries.

Authorities say Main Street from Jackson Street to Concord Road was closed for investigation following the incident.

The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
