Charlotte 2040 Comprehensive Plan Approved, Including Controversial Housing Provision

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After months of contentious debate, Charlotte city leaders gave final approval to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan on Monday night by a narrow 6-5 vote.

Included is the provision allowing duplex and triplex type homes in all Charlotte neighborhoods.

A last minute amendment to delay approval of that controversial provision failed.
