Cold Front Bringing Tuesday Showers & Storms

A cold front will swing across the WCCB area on Tuesday

Tropical Storm Claudette is moving away from the Carolinas. We are also watching a tropical wave east of the Windward Islands. The National Hurricane Center is giving this a low 30% chance of tropical formation over the next 5 days.

Isolated pop up showers and storms are possible this evening with overnight lows in the low 70s. We are watching a cold front to our west that will track across the Carolinas on Tuesday. This will bring showers and a marginal risk for isolated strong to severe storms especially for those east and southeast of I-85. The greatest threats are heavy downpours, lightning and damaging wind. The best timing for this will be late morning into the afternoon as the cold front pushes through. In wake of the Tuesday cold front we dry out and cool down. High temperatures only top out near 80 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday with plenty of sunshine and lower humidity – so a beautiful midweek ahead! As of Monday afternoon, scattered showers look to dominate the weekend ahead – we will continue to monitor and provide updates!

Tonight: Increasing clouds. Isolated shower possible. Low: 72. Wind: SW 10-20.

Tuesday: Cold front. Scattered to numerous showers. Isolated strong storm possible. High: 83. Wind: S/SW 10-20.

Wednesday: Beautiful! Mostly sunny and lower humidity. High: 81. Wind: NE 5-10.

Have a beautiful week!
