Detectives Investigate Deadly Shooting In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives say they are investigating a homicide in east Charlotte after a 42-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night.

Jarvis Massey, 42, has been identified as the victim in this case, according to a news release.

Officers say they responded to a deadly weapon call for service on Vanderbrook Road shortly after 11 p.m. on June 26th.

Officers say they found Massey with an apparent gunshot wound dead at the scene when they arrived.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
