Waking up to some patchy fog across the region. Highs today will reach the low 90s with a chance for an afternoon or evening storm. Temps will remain hot through the week with highs reaching the low 90s through Thursday. Isolated to widely scattered storms will be possible mainly during the late afternoon/evening. A cold front will bring widespread rain, storms and cooler temps beginning Friday. It will stall across the area Saturday, keeping rain chances in the forecast. 4th of July will bring isolated to scattered storms with highs in the mid 80s. However, if you’re betting on the fireworks, then the majority will not have too much of a problem launching Sunday night. Temps will warm back to the upper 80s Monday.
Tropical Depression Danny
Danny will likely dissipate today as it moves further inland. It made landfall as a tropical storm. It made landfall last night over Pritchards Island, just north of Hilton Head. Showers and a few downpours will be possible south of Atlanta into Alabama today. Locally, we won’t have any direct impacts as this storm continues to weaken.
