Deputies: Couple Arrested In Lancaster County After Drugs, Guns, And Cash Seized From Home
LANCASTER, S.C. — Officers arrested a man and a woman in Lancaster County Wednesday afternoon after finding illegal drugs, guns, and cash inside the home.
Officers were attempting to serve a previously issued arrest warrant charging Dalton Mayhew, 44, with Distribution of Marijuana, when they were lead to believe that illegal drugs were present in the home at the time.
Police removed Mayhew, Leshet Anthony, 35, and their 1-year-old child from the home on Fork Hill Road before conducting a search.
With the help of K-9’s, officers say they found 303 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 46 grams of suspected cocaine, 44 grams of suspected heroin, 20 grams of suspected marijuana, and pills believed to be Hydrocodone and Alprazolam.
Officers also seized digital scales, small plastic bags, a pistol, a revolver, ammunition, and $8,126 in cash from the home during their search.
Both Mayhew and Anthony were arrested and arrangements were made for the care of their child, according to a news release.
Police say the couple is charged each with Trafficking Crack Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Hydrocodone, Possession with Intent to Distribute Alprazolam, six counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime, six counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance in Proximity to School, and Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child.
Mayhew is additionally charged with two counts of Possession of a Pistol by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence.
The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
