CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Another new dining spot to add to the ‘must try’ list. Calle Sol Latin Café and Cevicheria opens its doors in Plaza Midwood (1205 Thomas Ave) July 6 at 4 p.m.

The team, led by Chef Paul Cruz, Sous Chef Alfredo Galarza, and General Manager Lindsey Jewell, is excited to bring Charlotte’s first Cevicheria to life. The menu boasts classic dishes from Cuba to Peru, but also has touches from all over Latin America, based on neighborhood dining spots in Tampa and Miami.

Calle Sol Latin Café and Cevicheria is inspired by FS Food Group’s love of traditional Latin food and the desire to diversify the Latin food scene in Charlotte. The restaurant serves traditional food based on the Cuban and Peruvian neighborhoods in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando, with the goal to express Chef Paul Cruz and Chef Alfredo Galarza’s passions for Latin comfort foods, while providing good value in a fun, casual setting with plenty of cocktails from GM Lindsey Jewell and her team.

Calle Sol will be open for dinner 4-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4-11 p.m. Friday through Saturday, with lunch on the horizon. Check out their menu here.
