YORK CO. S.C. — Troopers are investigating a fatal collision between a tractor trailer truck and a Honda that left one driver dead and a passenger with serious injuries on Friday.
Troopers say the collision occurred around 2 p.m. on U.S. Highway 21 at Hall Spencer Road.
A truck driver, 70-year-old Bobby Hill, was heading north on U.S. Highway 21 when a driver of a Honda sedan, heading west on Hall Spencer Road, failed to yield at a stop sign while turning onto the highway and was struck by the truck, according to a news release.
The driver of the Honda died at the scene and the front right passenger was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
