Hot & Humid Weekend, Week Ahead
While most locations will remain dry this weekend, isolated-to-scattered storms may erupt in the afternoons and evenings.
It’s been a busy week, but things are starting to settle down as we head deeper into the weekend. Mainly sunny skies paired with heat and humidity will make things feel like mid-July for much of the foreseeable future. Expect highs in the 80s and 90s across the board as we watch for isolated-to-scattered pop-up storms during the afternoons and evenings over the next few days. A rainmaking system may throw a few extra showers and storms our way Sunday into Monday, but will fall apart before it can bring any cooler air to the Carolinas. The copy-and-paste forecast should largely continue into next weekend.
Tonight: Mostly clear. A stray storm is possible. Low: 72°. Wind: Light.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. PM scattered storms. High: 91°. Wind: SW 5-15.
Sunday Night: A few storms early, then some clearing. Low: 72°. Wind: S 5-10.
Monday: Variable clouds. Scattered showers and storms, mainly west. High: 91°. Wind: SW 5-15.
