19-Year-Old Man Shot, Drove To Salisbury Police Department For Help

SALISBURY, N.C. — An investigation is underway after a 19-year-old victim arrived at the Salisbury Police Department’s headquarters suffering from a gunshot wound Thursday.

The victim arrived at the police department soon after the Rowan 911 Center received a call about a shooting on N. Lee Street around 11:50 a.m. The victim, identified as Sincere Houston, stopped his car a few blocks away from the where the reported shooting happened and sought assistance inside the police department’s lobby.

Officers provided first aid measures until the arrival of Salisbury Fire and Rowan County EMS. Police said Houston was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Other officers responded to the location of the reported shooting and found a crime scene at that location that appears associated with the victim at the SPD.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
