NEWTON, N.C. — The Catawba County Library is hosting a virtual workshop on Tuesday, July 20th to go over how to make homemade dog treats.

Library officials say whether your dog has dietary issues or could benefit from losing a few pounds, this 4 p.m. workshop will provide helpful tips and easy recipes for all dog-lovers alike.

Officials say they will teach participants why homemade treats are generally better than store-bought ones and what superfoods can be added to a dog’s diet to improve overall health during the workshop.

Anyone looking to participate can register online here or by calling 828-465-8664 (a limited number of kits are available and will include the dry goods called for in the recipes).
