Three Suspects, Including Juvenile, Arrested For Fatally Shooting Man During Home Invasion In Gastonia

Three people, including a juvenile, were charged for the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man that happened during a targeted home invasion in Gastonia, according to police.

Gastonia Police Regional SWAT Team and Gaston County Police Emergency Response Team executed simultaneous search and arrest warrants Thursday at a residence on Southside Avenue and another on Safeway Drive in Gastonia.

The Gastonia Police Department said Cameron Durham, 18, Kenya Partlow, 21, and a 17-year-old juvenile have been charged with first degree murder of Trakus Pratt that happened in June.

GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia Police say a 30-year-old man was shot and killed during a targeted home invasion on Saturday.

Officers say they responded to the shooting on Raindrops Road at 12:30 a.m. on June 12th, and found the victim, 30-year-old Trakus Pratt, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Pratt was taken to a local hospital following the shooting, where authorities say he later died.

Police describe the suspects involved in this case as three Black men in their late teens to early 20’s, that were possibly dropper off by a dark-colored SUV.

The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
