Edge On The Clock: President Obama Scales Back Birthday Bash Due To Delta Variant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former President Barack Obama turned 60 years old on Wednesday! And Number 44 is scaling back his big birthday bash this weekend. He was originally planning to celebrate with a 500 person party on Martha’s Vineyard, but because of concerns over the Delta COVID variant, the event will now only include family and close friends.

Plus, with the Olympics underway, it can be tempting to watch different events or even check the medal count even while you’re at work. TheLines.com surveyed 1,500 people and found that the majority of people admit to watching an event, or even an entire sports game, while we’re on the clock. 71% say they check sports scores or read about sports while they’re working and 48% say they have called in sick to attend a sporting event or game.

And, gymnastics star Simone Biles has revealed that her aunt died “unexpectedly” during the Tokyo Olympic Games, which impacted her ability to compete.
