Troopers: Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck By A Truck In Lancaster County

KERSHAW, S.C. — Troopers are investigating a fatal collision after a bicyclist was hit by a truck and killed in Lancaster County on Thursday.

The two-vehicle collision occurred shortly after 12 p.m. on SC Highway 157 at Kirkland Avenue, according to a news release.

Troopers say Kenneth Neal, 34, was driving a 2013 International box truck west down SC Highway 157 with one passenger, 20-year-old Andrea Carrington, in tow.

The bicyclist, 39-year-old Roxann Lamoree, was heading south on Kirkland Avenue when she failed to yield to the right of way and was struck by Neal in his truck.

Troopers say Lamoree was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
