A Typical Summertime Weather Week Ahead

Temperatures will increase along with our humidity, which means a chance for afternoon showers and storms each day beginning Tuesday.Β

The second week of August will have a Bermuda high pressure system establishing itself off the Southeast coast through most of the week. This will result in
a typical summertime pattern across the Carolinas. We can expect sunshine, high humidity and hot temperatures each day. By Tuesday, moisture will increase
so scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop, mainly during the afternoon. Next weekend a frontal system will bring an increased
chance for showers and thunderstorms to the area by Saturday night and into Sunday. We will also continue to watch the Eastern Atlantic for possible tropical development
later in the week.
