Metro Diner Celebrates National Fried Chicken & Waffle Day By Giving Out $5 Gift Cards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — All fried chicken and waffle fans are invited to head on over to Metro Diner this Sunday and get a $5 gift card, after purchasing the dish, to use at your next visit.

Metro Diner is giving out these gift cards on August 8th as a way to celebrate their fourth annual National Fried Chicken & Waffle Day (recognized as an official holiday by Chase’s Calendar).

Metro Diner’s most popular dish Fried Chicken and Waffles features a fluffy Belgian waffle topped with sweet strawberry butter and half a fried chicken with a signature sweet and spicy sauce to top it off.

Restaurant officials say the chicken is brined for 24 hours and then marinated for another 24 hours, taking the dish a total of 48 hours to create.
