Mask Or No Mask: List Of Local School Systems And Their Mask Mandates For Upcoming School Year
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Several local school systems have announced their mask mandates as students and staff return for the 2021-2022 school year. WCCB Charlotte compiled a list of local school systems and where they currently stand on mask mandates:

- Anson County Schools – Will require masks
- Avery County Schools – Optional
- Burke County Public Schools – Will require masks
- Cabarrus County Schools – Will require masks
- Caldwell County Schools – Optional
- Catawba County Schools – Optional/Masks required for bus riders
- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools – Will require masks
- Cleveland County Schools – Will require masks
- Gaston County Schools – Will require masks
- Hickory Public Schools – Will require masks
- Iredell-Stateseville School District – Optional
- Mooresville Graded School District – Will require masks
- Rowan/Salisbury Schools – Will require masks for two weeks
- Union County Public Schools – Optional
- Watauga County Schools – Will require masks
