Storms Out, Heat In
A return to typical August weather in the Carolinas for the end of the week and the weekend.
Following some wicked weather Tuesday with over a dozen tornado warnings issued in the WCCB Charlotte viewing area and flood warnings across the High Country, we’re happy to see a much calmer pattern return to the Carolinas.
Expect highs to return to near 90 across the board as a classic summertime pattern sets up shop. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies return with rain chances over the next three days only in the form of pop-up showers and storms during the afternoons. The generally stable pattern should remain around the area. Weather looks good for Saturday’s preseason game at home for the Panthers.
Today: Mostly sunny. PM isolated storms. High: 89°. Wind: SW 5-10.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low: 73°. Wind: Light.
Thursday: Another hot one. slight chance of afternoon storms. High: 92°. Wind: SW 5-10.
Friday: Some scattered afternoon showers or storms. High 90°.
