Charlotte Knights Change Name To Charlotte Traffic Cones On August 20th
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Story By:MILB.com) — When the Charlotte Knights take the field Friday, August 20th, at Truist Field the team will play as the Charlotte Traffic Cones. The idea was inspired by the growth that Charlotte has experienced over the years.
The Knights unveiled the Traffic Cones name, logo, and uniforms, designed to honor those Craftspeople who have built our city. On Friday, August 20th, the orange, yellow and white uniforms featuring a traffic cone with a hard hat will debut in a game against the Norfolk Tides.
The night is presented by Rodgers Builders, whose tag line fittingly states, “Our Passion is Building.” The Traffic Cones jerseys, worn by the players, will be auctioned off, and the funds raised will benefit The ROC Charlotte, whose mission is to help create a pathway to careers and college in Construction Technologies.
Additional promotional elements with the Traffic Cones theme on August 20 will include a safety glove giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, fun concourse activities for young fans, on-field contests, and unique concessions items. To cap off the evening, Friday Night Fireworks will light up the sky after the Traffic Cones play Norfolk.
