U.S. Capitol Bomb Suspect’s Son Says He Doesn’t Understand Why Dad Went To D.C.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The United States Capitol Police says the area near the Capitol is now secure after a man named Floyd Ray Roseberry was arrested Thursday for threatening to bomb the Capitol. Roseberry, who is from Grover, North Carolina, claimed to have a bomb in a pickup truck near the U.S. Capitol while appearing to be holding an explosive device in his truck.

He called for all Democrats, including President Joe Biden to step down. He also expressed frustration about the situation in Afghanistan. The FBI is searching Roseberry’s home in Cleveland County, but officials say a full scale search could take days to complete.
