CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 42-year-old Charlotte man has been arrested on eight charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors, announced South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson on Wednesday.
The offender William Campbell, 42, was arrested on August 19th and charged with four counts of first degree sexual exploitation of a minor and four counts of voyeurism.
Investigators say Campbell produced multiple files of child sexual abuse material, as well as recorded minor victims in the nude without their knowledge or consent.
Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators along with officers with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office aided in making this arrest.
Campbell faces up to 20 years in prison for each count of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a news release.
This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
