ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill Police arrested a 38-year-man for kidnapping on Wednesday after he held a woman against her will inside his home.

Officers were sent to the home on Chestnut Street around 5 a.m. on August 25th after receiving a 911 call indicating a possible domestic incident was taking place.

When officers arrived at the home and proceeded to knock no one answered the door, but Dispatch could hear the officers knocking on the door through the open phone line with the victim, according to a news release.

Police say Rock Hill S.W.A.T., Crisis Negotiators, and Bomb Squad members were then notified to respond to the barricade incident.

Once a search warrant was issued for the home, officers say they forced the door open to send in the Bomb robot.

Police say once officers breached the door, Davis surrendered and the woman being held captive was released.

Davis is currently in the Rock Hill Jail after being arrested for kidnapping in this case.

The investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing.
