CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two food trucks, only one Golden Spork. Which team will take down the competition in Food Truck Rumble CLT?
Each week, two of the Queen City’s finest drive-able dining establishments are facing off in the ultimate showdown of flavor, flair, and finesse. WCCB News Rising’s Derek James hosts the competition as the trucks throw down in a themed culinary battle du jour. Rumble categories include the “Char-LIT n Loaded Face-off,” “Taco Takedown,” “BBQ Battle,” and the “American Classic Challenge.”
First to enter the food fight arena are What the Fries, the Charlotte-based food truck that recently opened a brick and mortar location, versus new chew on the block, Nacho Average Food Truck. Future competitors include The Hillbilly Philly , A Worthy Dog, Grumpy Grandpa MX, Taco Bout Nachos, Dan Good Que, and K&N BBQ.
Each competition is judged by a panel of #CLTFoodies who evaluate the dishes on three criteria: First Impression, Overall Taste, and WOW Factor.
Who will tackle the taste-off? And who will bite the dust?
