Police Arrest Serial Flasher In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg officers have charged 25-year-old John Graham III for his involvement in several recent indecent exposure cases.

Unnamed

John Graham III

Police say on August 9th, a victim told officers that she was walking on Freedom Drive when an unknown person exposed his genitals and began touching himself.

The victim said when she tried to get away, he threatened to harm her.

Officers say the victim then told them that the same suspect had also done this on two other occasions.

Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on August 29th, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call for service on Teddington Drive.

At the scene, officers say a victim told them that an unknown man had been continuously ringing her doorbell. When she refused to open the door, the victim claims the man began masturbating in front of her doorbell camera.

Detectives say after further investigation into both incidents, they identified Graham as the suspect in the serial flasher case.

Graham was arrested on August 30th, and has since been charged with communicating threats, indecent exposure by exposing private parts in a public place, and an additional misdemeanor for violation of city ordinance, according to a news release.

Detectives say Graham was arrested on similar charges on May 31st and August 12th, and they believe he may be involved in other incidents that occurred recently.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
