CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There will be no Labor Day Parade in Charlotte this year due to COVID-19 concerns.
Officials say due to the liability of the COVID-19 pandemic, the uncertainty of vaccination rates, and the long lead times and logistics required for organizing the parade, this year’s Labor Day Parade has been canceled.
Officials say the parade will pick back up in 2022.
The Charlotte Labor Day Parade honors the struggles, sacrifices, and continuing accomplishments of organized American Labor.
City officials wish everyone a good holiday, and asks everyone to remember those who fought, suffered, or died for our worker rights in the United States.
