Fall Feels Fleeting

The heat and humidity won't build back in all at once, but summer will remind us it isn't going anywhere soon by next week.

Happy Friday! Hopefully, you’ve been getting outside and enjoying this final day of the workweek, because weather like this may be hard to come by for the next month. While the heat and humidity won’t build back in all at once, summery conditions will steadily return to the Carolinas over the next few days. Expect the 80s and 90s to make a return by midweek next week.

In the meantime, we’ll have a gorgeous Labor Day weekend ahead. Labor Day itself should largely remain dry in the Piedmont, but a weak disturbance to our north could provide scattered showers Sunday into early Monday for our mountains. Mainly sunny skies should last throughout the next five days. Isolated pop-up showers and storms slowly build back into the forecast next week, as well, as a classic summertime pattern arrives.

Saturday: Warm sunshine. High: 85°. Wind: Light.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Milder. Low: 63°. Wind: S 5-10.

Sunday: Mainly sunny. Scattered showers north. High: 87°. Wind: SW 5-10.
