Detectives Charge 14-Year-Old For Murder In Northwest Charlotte Shooting

Detectives say a 14-year-old boy has been charged for the murder of 16-year-old Jaylen Foster in a shooting in northwest Charlotte on Sunday.
The juvenile was charged with murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a minor, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle for his involvement, according to a news release.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A chaotic scene unfolding in Northwest Charlotte, as CMPD investigates a shooting that killed a 16-year-old and sent two others to the hospital.
Around 6:30 Sunday night, police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at Trinity Park Apartments on Trinity Road.
MEDIC pronounced a 16-year-old male, later identified as Jaylen Foster, dead at the scene.
Investigators found two other victims injured — one had been shot in the neck, another shot in the leg.
