Rock Hill Community Comes Together To Surprise Nurses With Care Packages

ROCK HILL, S.C. — The past year has been a trying time for everyone, but especially for healthcare workers who have been on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.

So on Friday, the Rock Hill community came together to surprise school nurses with care packages to say thanks for all their hard work.

The care packages were filled with local goods and gift cards, with each box valuing over $400.

Some items inside included vouchers for facials, massages, and DoorDash.

The Mercantile in Rock Hill coordinated the delivery effort, after local businesses donated items to be put inside the care packages.

“It is heartwarming to see the outpouring of support for our school nurses who are working tirelessly each and every day for our community,”  Director of Communications for Rock Hill Schools Lindsay Machak said. “We can’t express how much gratitude we have for each and every one of our school nurses.”
