Police say the investigation into this case began Tuesday evening after school officials at Sun Valley received an email from a bogus account reporting explosive devices at Sun Valley High, Sun Valley Middle, and an elementary school just outside of Union County.

All schools were searched that evening and again on Wednesday to ensure the schools were safe, but nothing was found, according to a news release.

Detectives say they began working immediately to identify the source of the threatening email.

On Thursday, detectives say a school official at Prospect Elementary received an eerily similar threatening email concerning explosive devices on school property.

One again, the school was searched with no explosive devices to be found, but the email appeared to have come from the same source as the one targeting Sun Valley.

Detectives say they linked the source of the emails back to Jones and subsequently executed a search warrant at her home on Dellwood Drive where several electronic devices were seized.

The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
